About the Lydia Green Nursing Program:

The Lydia Green Nursing Program is a part of the School of Health Sciences and includes a vibrant undergraduate BSN program and graduate programs leading to either a master of science in nursing (MSN) or a doctor of nursing practice (DNP). Graduate nursing specialty pathways for the DNP include advanced practice (FNP, AGNP and AGCNS); MSN pathways include clinical leadership in practice and nurse educator. Our nursing programs are set apart by the integration of robust academics and relationship-centered learning that is grounded in Christian faith and values.

The program and our graduates are highly regarded by the surrounding regional healthcare community. The nursing programs are approved by the Washington State Nursing Quality Assurance Commission and accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

Job Description:

We are accepting applications for adjunct faculty for clinical teaching in the following areas:

• Undergraduate, pre-licensure: acute care (adults), pediatrics, community health and psych-mental health.

• Graduate: faculty clinical advisor for family and adult-gero nurse practitioner

Teaching in these courses provides an opportunity to work closely with students in the clinical setting, with preceptors, and other SPU faculty to ensure transformative clinical learning experiences.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in nursing or closely related field; doctorate preferred.

• Unencumbered license as registered nurse in the State of Washington.

• For undergraduate clinical teaching, BSN applicants with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the clinical subject area will be considered.

• For graduate-level teaching in APRN clinical courses, current certification as FNP or AGNP is required.

• Commitment to support active, participatory learning experiences
