Job Summary:
Ensure accountability and steady and smooth functioning of the nursing care department. In addition to acting as a supervisor for clinical and administrative functions, a Supervisor also acts as a mentor and educator for fellow nurses.
Common Responsibilities:
Responsible for the function of the households
Ensures efficiency and continuity of resident care
Lead team of RNs and CNAs
Attends all meetings as scheduled
Promotes interdepartmental communication
Ensures proper medication and treatment management
Maintains and promotes high resident care standards
Responsible for a wide variety of nursing administrative duties
Monitors job performance of RNs, LPNs and CNAs and provides corrective action as needed
Promotes a team environment through effective communication and employee recognition
Works every other weekend
Requirements:
Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse with active license in Kentucky
Minimum two (2) years of clinical experience in a health care setting
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a long-term care/short term rehab facility
Prior 1-year supervisory experience as a nurse leader, unit manager, or ADON
Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance
Clinical assessment skills at the level necessary to meet the job requirements
Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with electronic medical records in long term care or short-term rehab facility
Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long term care and short-term rehabilitation
Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and think on your feet
