Established in 1950, it was the first school of nursing in North Carolina to offer a four-year baccalaureate nursing degree program followed by the first master's degree program, the first continuing education program for nurses, first doctoral program, and first accelerated BSN option to students with college degrees. Position Summary
UNC Chapel Hill School of Nursing is seeking candidates for a Nurse Specialist position. This 12-month EHRA non- faculty position is focused on clinical supervision of students in the on- and off- campus clinical environment. This position requires the incorporation of evidence-based practice into clinical activities and maintaining a commitment to serving the school of nursing, university, profession, and community.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required (or foreign degree equivalent); for candidates demonstrating comparable independent research productivity, will accept a relevant Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) and 3 or more years of relevant experience in substitution. May require terminal degree and licensure.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
A degree in Nursing
A minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical care in a patient care or community setting
Manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
Licensed or eligible for licensure as a registered nurse in North Carolina
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Master's in nursing preferred
