? Were currently seeking a dedicated Nurse Scheduling Coordinator for our skilled nursing healthcare center in the Pike Creek section of Wilmington.

? WHAT YOU DO:?

As the Nurse Scheduling Coordinator, you are responsible for workforce planning for Cadia Pike Creek, in conjunction with the Director of Nursing. You will be responsible for master scheduling and managing the effective scheduling and staff coverage for each nursing unit to support and maintain a high level of resident safety. You will oversee and manage any staff scheduling needs. In this role, you will use strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills to complete and manage monthly staff schedules, changes, and trades in shifts, in the absence of the Director of Nursing or as delegated by the DON. You will also maintain timely records of attendance and provide reports on issues relating to staffing, vacancies, agency use, and other topics. Among your responsibilities, you will also:

  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely completed payroll reports.

  • Determine and communicate schedule to newly hired team members, prior to their start date.

  • Serve as primary nursing center contact for all employees needs regarding scheduling and timekeeping.

  • Verify agency staff credentials prior to agency working shift at center.

  • Balance nursing center staffing needs, employee schedule preferences, and nursing center financial performance, verifying daily per patient day (PPD). You will use software to minimize overtime and nursing agency spend while ensuring nursing hours PPD and salary expense, including overtime, is at the appropriate budget level.

?QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:?

  • Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous experience scheduling nursing staff is strongly preferred.

  • Ability to multi-task at a high level.

  • Proficient computer skills and various computer applications, including scheduling software, MS Excel, and Outlook?
