Lahey Hospital & Medical Center is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced ICU nurse to join our new Neurosciences Critical Care Unit team. We are looking for a dynamic Registered Nurse who is seeking a role in which they are at the forefront of delivering state of the art Neurocritical Care. As a Registered Nurse in the NCCU, you will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver clinical excellence in patient-centered care, while being empowered through evidence-based practice, continuing education, collaboration, and shared governance to deliver nursing care at the highest level with empathy and kindness in the forefront.
Lahey Hospital & Medical Center holds a Comprehensive Stroke Center designation and is proudly growing Neurosciences Critical Care within the organization. The NCCU is an acute intensive care unit specializing in the care of acutely ill patients with life threatening neurologic disease or life threatening neurological manifestation of a system disease. Using the latest technologies, nursing staff deliver care to patients requiring ventilatory support, hemodynamic monitoring, ICP monitoring, targeted temperature management, osmotic therapy, continuous renal replacement therapy, in addition to providing support and comfort to the families of these patients.
A minimum of 2 years Critical Care Experience. Applicants demonstrating a strong interest in the neuroscience specialty are preferred.
Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse License.
Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS and ACLS certification.
New graduate nurses and applicants without critical care experience will not be considered.
2 years or more of Neurocritical Care experience at an acute care facility.
American Association of Critical Care Nurses Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) and/or Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse certification(s).
12 hour shifts - 7:00pm-7:30am
24 Hours Nights with every third weekend and rotating holidays
Day/Night rotation to support the needs of patient care in the critical care units.
