At our League City campus, we provide residential services to adolescents living with Autism and or Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.

Responsible for the delivery of specialized care/services to clients commensurate with education, training, and licensure or certification, functions as an integral member of the multidisciplinary treatment team and assists in providing care and treatment that is appropriate for the population.

As a Registered Nurse at Devereux, you will:

• Assess patients; collect and document the patient's current health status and medical history. Perform both direct patient care (i.e.. medication administration, physical assessment), as well as indirect patient care (i.e.. giving thorough, concise report at change of shift).

• Maintain documentation related to EBI (emergency behavioral intervention), QPRT assessments (suicide prevention method), nursing progress notes, lab slips, and related nursing procedures.

• Participate in and assist with the initial treatment plan and the treatment planning process.

• Communicate with members of the treatment team information related to the client's medical care and behavior.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing for Registered Nurses; BSN preferred.

• Current licensure in the State of Texas as an RN.

• Proficient computer skills. Valid driver license must be maintained.

• One (1) year previous experience in a psychiatric and/or medical facility preferred. In lieu of this experience, the facility will consider experience or education acquired in related fields (psychology, criminology, pediatrics, etc.)
