The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care in ambulatory settings. Patient care may be a direct activity of the RN, or it may be to coordinate and supervise patient care provided by assistive personnel.

Utilizes a systematic approach to nursing practice incorporating assessment, planning, nursing diagnosis, implementation and evaluation in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and Park Nicollet Health Services policy. Previous experience preferred in the designated area. Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing.

MN Nursing License required. Current CPR certification specific to the department requirements (BLS, ACLS, PALS). Education/Experience: Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing.

Job Code Required Nursing Education 2LL Associates/Diploma degree 2WI BSN / Baccalaureate 2WJ Masters in Nursing This position requires familiarity and compliance with matters of law, regulations and internal policies affecting the employment relationship, (including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, discrimination and harassment laws). Special Knowledge/Skills/Certifications/Licenses: Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse License Currently validated CPR skills (BLS, ACLS, PALS) specific to dept requirements Demonstrates knowledge of age related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.

Additional Information

Current perioperative experience required and ACLS and BSN required. PALS preferred.

Excellence in critical thinking, problem solving and customer service in a very fast paced environment, and ability to multi task essential. Looking for RN with exceptional IV skills to be part of IV team in addition to rotating to preop, PACU and Phase 2.

The Psychiatric Nurse (R.N.) is a registered professional nurse who delivers, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices.
