PA/NP will be able to perform:
Detailed H & P, d/c summaries for hospitalized patients that are on cardiology service or consulted on.
Able to assess patients and perform daily rounds on patients which includes documentation in the Meditech/EMR system.
Collaborate with physicians and hospital staff about plan of care.
Proficient with Meditech system and Holy Redeemers System to be able to complete notes, orders and review test results.
Perform patient office visits for various cardiac conditions including but not limited to: incision checks, CP, CHF, medication instruction, setting up procedures, arrhythmia management, post hospital visits.
Perform device ( PPM/ICD) interrogations if qualified as needed.
Review and interpret lab, stress testing ,xray and echo results.
2.PA/NP will be able to perform stress testing which includes:
a.) Knowledge of stress testing protocols including: Bruce/Modified Bruce, Persantine, Adenosine and lexiscan.
b.) Assess patient throughout the testing period and provide clinical intervention as needed.
c.)Inform/discuss abnormal results of testing with physicians and develop plan of care.
d.) Identify contraindications for testing or abnormalities that indicate testing needs to be
e.) Ability to navigate the stress testing equipment to assist with initiation and
documentation during testing.
3.PA/NP will utilize technology to manage patient records and communicate with staff via:

4.PA/NP will provide patient support to the clinical support and education as needed:
a.) Be available for clinical questions and review for patient issues including: medication
questions, symptom review, timing of f/u, dosing of warfarin, and procedural issues.
b.) Provide education on new medications or procedures in the office.
