This Nurse Practitioner position is full-time -Two (2) years required; Emergency Room/Urgent Care experience.

Required: Active Arizona Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult Nurse Practitioner, or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner licensure. Prescribing privileges - documentation from the Arizona State Board of Nursing and Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) license/certificate.

American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and ACLS certification.

Preferred: American Heart Association (AHA) PALS certification.

Examines and treats patients independently and in autonomous collaboration with other health care professionals. Ensures proper illness and injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.

Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others.

A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires a master's degree in area of specialty, certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP), and state authority for advanced practice. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

The NP will evaluate complex health histories and provide examinations, diagnose and treat from acute to chronic conditions of the patients otherwise performed by a physician. In addition, interprets laboratory results and X-rays, prescribe and manage medications and other therapies, provide health teaching and counseling to support healthy lifestyle behaviors, prevent illness and refer patients to other professionals as needed. The NP provides high-quality, cost –effective and individualized care for the patients, families and communities. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner reports directly to the Medical Director and is responsible to act in accordance with the policies established by the Executive committees of Medical Staff, the Chief Clinical Officer, and with the Arizona State Board of Nurse Examiners and existing state laws. Responsibilities Position Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: * Ability to project a professional image * Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements * Knowledge of techniques and methods of patient care services and instructions for patients and their families * Working knowledge and ability to apply professional standards of practice in job situations * Knowledge of management principles in assessing, planning, implanting, coordinating and evaluating * Familiarity with organization and function of all departments, with policies, regulations and procedures of the departments * Strong organizational and analytical skills * Working knowledge of personal computer and software applications used in job functions (Word processing, graphics, databases, spreadsheets, etc.) * Persons who have been found guilty by a court of law of abusing, neglecting, or mistreating individuals in a health care related setting are ineligible for employment in this position * Freedom from illegal use of drugs * Freedom from use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace Qualifications EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: * Required: Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing and a graduate of an accredited ARNP program with psychiatric impatient experience.
