About the Job
The Lahey Lowell Emergency Services Program will be implementing telepsychiatry as a bridge service available to individuals aged 21+ who have completed a crisis evaluation with an identified urgent need to access medication at the completion of their evaluation to reduce psychiatric symptoms causing impairment to the client's current level of functioning. Lahey seeks to hire a telepsychiatry prescriber who is comfortable working with the mental health and dual diagnosis population to prescribe psychiatric medication as a bridge until the clients are successfully referred to an outpatient psychiatrist by a care coordinator. The telepsychiatry prescriber will consult with the referring ESP clinician at the completion of the crisis evaluation to retrieve necessary client history prior to the initial telepsychiatry consult, where the telepsychiatry prescriber is able to request necessary lab work, prescribe psychiatric medication, and conduct follow up appointments.
