Nurse Practitioner

Job Title: Nurse Practitioner Job Summary:

Responsible for diagnoses, treatment, and consultation, performing independently or as a part of a team. Educate patients about prescribed treatments and preventative care. Conduct patient exams, perform physicals, order tests, prescribe medications and serve as a primary healthcare provider or as an entry point into a multi-disciplinary medical practice.

Nurse Practitioner Role and Responsibilities: Admit patients into the Orthopedics Surgery program and/or Urgent Care program Perform history and physicals for all new patients admitted into the programs Diagnose conditions and plan appropriate care plans Conduct patient clinics independently and in support of the programs Prescribe and order diagnostic tests, medications, and interventional procedures Refer patients for surgical consultation when necessary Prescribe and refer to ancillary services, including but not limited to, physical therapy, massage. therapy, chiropractic, acupuncture, aquatic therapy, personal training program Educate patients about diagnosis, treatment options, treatment types, preventative care Participate in on call rotation for the practice Provide leadership and guidance, and ensure cohesiveness for support staff, including but not limited to the MA’s, billers, collectors, and front office staff Nurse Practitioner Required Qualifications: Master’s or doctoral degree program from an accredited university Minimum of 2 years in an operating room setting experience; preferably in an ambulatory surgery center Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Current APRN license in the state of Georgia Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Education:
