Position Information:The Nurse Practitioner will work in collaboration with the Hospitalist physicians. The NP will provide cross-coverage services for a diverse inpatient census as well as supporting admissions and consultations. May function as an educator and preceptor for students and residents from healthcare education programs.Understands the needs of the organization and supports the mission, values and management of the Hospitalist Program.

Experience Requirements:2 Years Clinical - Acute Care Preferred
Education Required:
Master's Degree Nursing Required


Licensure/Certification Requirements:Registered Nurse And Certified Nurse Practitioner Required

Position Information: The Nurse Practitioner will function as a licensed independent practitioner in collaboration with the supervising physician working under the supervision of the medical director of neonatology, Advanced Practice Provider Manager, and physician partners within neonatology division. The Nurse Practitioner will deliver competent medical care to an age specific population at WakeMed including neonates and children up to 2 years of age in the newborn, intensive and intermediate nurseries. The Nurse Practitioner will function as an educator for students from healthcare education programs. The Nurse Practitioner will maintain the scope of practice to be consistent with the policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines governed by the North Carolina Nursing Board and any other federal or state regulatory agencies, as well as the policies and procedures of WakeMed.
