Nurse Practitioner - Outpatient Clinic - Tanner Healthcare For Children

Tanner Health System is recruiting a full-time Pediatric Nurse Practitioner OR Physician Assistant to join the Tanner Healthcare for Children practice located in Bremen, GA. The Nurse practitioner will provide services through the performance of patient evaluation, assessment and treatment in the medical office setting as allowed by state licensure laws under the supervision of the medical director. The nurse practitioner works closely with the clinic staff, hospital departments and community agencies.

Structure of position:

• Clinic Schedule:

• Monday

• Friday, 8a

• 4:30p (or until last patient seen);

• Practice is located in the medical office building adjacent to Higgins General Hospital

• Must be willing to treat newborns to 18 years of age

• Excellent clinical, administrative and management support

• Tanner utilizes EPIC EMR system wide

Master's Degree

Experience

Six months of related experience

Licenses & Certifications

• Georgia Nurse Practitioner License

• Georgia Licensed Practical Nurse or Multistate Nursing License

• Healthcare Provider (CPR)

Qualifications

• Able to communicate effectively with medical and hospital staff and various populations in clinics and public screening events.

• ACLS recommended.

• Additional certification will be required for some specialties (i.e. ACLS, PALS)

• Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Georgia

• Graduate of a recognized program for Nurse Practitioner training (MSN).

• Must be capable of dealing tactfully and effectively with patients, family members, other employees and physicians

• Must maintain high degree of confidentiality.

• Must meet credentialing criteria.

• Must possess the cognitive ability to understand patient medical records, physician orders and medical orders to be communicated to patient, hospital and/or other physician.
