Position description

The Department of Preventive, Occupational and Aerospace Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work as part of collaborative team to provide outpatient care to a variety of patients with a focus on primary, secondary and tertiary prevention of disease in individuals (Clinical Preventive Medicine), special occupational populations (DOT drivers, Pilots, Employees, Workers Comp injuries, etc.), and general populations (Public Health). Another area of focus will be to provide care in the Preventive Services Clinic. The Preventive Services Clinic is available to Mayo Clinic patients, as well as their accompanying family members and friends, for the coordination and delivery of age and gender appropriate preventive services.

Responsibilities will include the ability to perform a comprehensive physical assessment; ordering and interpretation of diagnostic tests; recognition and management of some chronic and acute medical conditions, and counseling for health promotion and disease prevention. As an academic organization, all providers, including NP/PA's, will be expected to participate in education and research opportunities within the division.

Qualifications

Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN license and certification, or eligible to be certified, as a FNP or ANP.

Or graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice

Additional qualifications

BLS certification and DEA registration required.

Position description The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN is seeking a Women's Health or Family NP or PA-C providers to join our High Risk Obstetrical Team in the Outpatient Antenatal Clinic. Members of the Obstetrical Care Team at Mayo Clinic offer compassionate, expert, and personalized care. Our multi-specialty practice allows obstetric providers to work with specialists in maternal and fetal medicine, medical genetics, reproductive medicine and other medical and surgical specialties as needed. Obstetrics team members assist in the perinatal care of more than 2,400 women each year. YOUR ROLE: As an Advanced Practice Provider on the High Risk OB Care Team, you will deliver antenatal and postpartum care to women with medically complex pregnancies. Professional responsibilities include provision of the routine components of prenatal care such as education and support, monitoring maternal and fetal wellbeing, as well as working in collaboration with high risk obstetricians and other specialists to monitor and treat underlying and evolving maternal medical conditions. Additionally, education of medical students, residents, and other advanced practice providers in the clinical setting is an important part of our role in this academic environment. BLS certification and DEA registration will be required. Additional qualifications Electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) is highly preferred. Limited OB ultrasound certification for first and third trimester required within one year of start date.
