This is a 1099 (independent contractor) PRN position

Clinic hours: Monday-Friday/8:30am-5:30pm

What is the work?

Patient Care:- Interviews patients; takes medical histories; assesses patient health; performs physical examinations; administers injections/ immunizations; performs suturing, splinting, casting; manages wounds and infections- Instructs / counsels patients; explains treatments and medications; counsels / promotes emotional and physical health and wellness- Obtains / studies medical histories; documents patient and clinic records- Administers / orders diagnostic tests; interprets results; makes diagnoses; prescribes medications and other treatments- Identifies short- / long-range patient care issues; recommends courses of action; implements physician directives- Provides / ensures continuity of care; develops / implements patient care management plans- Complies / ensures compliance with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements, and infection control protocols and policies- Develops health care team staff; provides training and educational / growth opportunities- Maintains professional / technical knowledge; reviews professional journals; establishes personal network; participates in educational workshops and professional associations- Collaborates with clinic staff to recommend / improve patient care practices, and clinic guidelines and workflow- Ensures adherence to HIPAA regulations

What is your background?- Master's degree in advanced practice nursing from an accredited program or

  • Graduate degree from an accredited PA Program; Board certification by the NCCPA; Current- 3+ years of health care experience- Current valid RN License- Current, unrestricted State of Texas APRN license or

  • For PA: Unrestricted license to practice in Texas- Current, unrestricted DEA- AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or AHA BLS Instructor Provider card
