Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant - Intensive Care Unit - Full Time

We are looking for a compassionate & flexible Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our ICU team. In this role, our APRN or PA will work closely with our Physician Residents to co-manage an average daily census of 8-10 Medical ICU patients. In addition to managing admitted ICU patients, this APRN or PA will oversee new ICU admissions in our Emergency Department as well as respond house-wide to all internal medical codes. Our Nurse Practitioners & Physician Assistants provide supervision and mentorship to our clinical personnel, as well as serve as a resource to both staff and management in problem identification and resolution.

Full-time: 13-hour shifts - primarily nights (7p-8a) with occasional, day shifts (6:45a-7:45p)

For APRN candidates:

Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of CT

A Master's degree is required for entry level practice.

An APRN license in the state of CT prior to start date is required.

Previous experience in an ICU or Emergency Department required.

For PA candidates:

B.A./B.S. and completion of 2 years accredited P.A. training program.

Current NCCPA certification required.

A PA license in the state of CT prior to start date is required.

Previous experience in an ICU or Emergency Department required.
