Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant

We are looking for a full time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Rheumatology practice in Malta. Hours are Monday-Thursday from 8a-4p and Friday from 8a-12p.

Responsibilities:

• Provide rheumatic ambulatory care services under the supervision of a physician including conducting examinations, writing prescriptions, preparing infusion orders.

• Collaborate with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients.

• Assess patient status by obtaining health history.

• Order/perform laboratory diagnostic and other screening tests.

• Treat illnesses.

• Perform minor office procedures such as joint and trigger point injections, as well as suture removals. If not trained to do so, be willing to receive instruction.

• Counsel patient/family on preventive health care.

• Aid in cross-coverage.

• Participate in journal club, chart reviews, staff education, clinical guideline development and other continuing education.

Annual salary range: $96,198.20 - $150,000.00
