Job Description

Cardiovascular First Assist Nurse Practitioner or Physician assistant

  • Practice scope includes adult cardiothoracic surgery - CABG, valve surgery, TAVR - as well as major / minor vascular surgery including EVAR and open aneurysm repair, carotid endarterectomy, etc.
  • Opportunity to develop sub practice based on clinical interests.
  • Comprehensive practice that includes surgery, clinic, and hospital rounding, allowing 1stAssist APP to practice full scope.
  • Experienced Advanced Practice Providersin Cardiovascular Surgery ispreferred - includingsurgical first-assisting, Endoscopic Vein Harvest (EVH), and perioperative patient care - but will consider other surgically-trained APPs who want to experience the professional satisfaction of cardiothoracic and vascular surgery.

  • Education Requirements:

    Master's degree in Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
    Training on surgical first assist and EVH required.
    Licensure/Certification

    Requirements:

    Current Illinois physician assistant ornurse practitionerlicensure or able to attain
