Treats and evaluates patients; administers advanced nursing care in an Occupational/Employee Health Department under the direction of the licensed physician. Performs pre-employment physical examinations, fitness evaluations, injury care, drug and alcohol collection/screenings, pulmonary function testing, respiratory mask fit testing, provide immunizations, tuberculosis skin testing, and venipuncture.
The Nurse Practitioner will also assist in coordinating wellness programing and regulatory compliance with institutional, state and federal regulations. The Nurse Practitioner will have knowledge and skills to provide evidence based clinical evaluation and treatment of employees, students, and other patients with occupational or environmentally related illnesses and injuries. Responsible for triage, evaluation, treatment, care coordination of employees who are injured, exposed to communicable diseases and/or bloodborne pathogens.
Education
Bachelors Degree : Nursing (Required)
Masters Degree : Nursing (Required)
Experience
3 Years experience as a nurse practitioner (Required)
2 Years experience in a clinical specialty practice (Preferred)
5 Years experience as a nurse practitioner (Preferred)
License/Certifications
CRNP - PA Cert Reg Nurse Practitioner (Required)
RN-LIC - PA Registered Nurse License (Required)
PRX-AUTH - Prescriptive Authority (Required)
Employee will be responsible for coverage of OH at temple main. Shift is M-F 8a-430p
