Nurse Practitioners (NP) - Full-Time & PRN are needed to assist patients in post-acute care hospitals in Baton Rouge, LA.

What do we do? Homedica provides primary care to patients in long term acute care hospital settings and rehabilitation hospitals.

Qualifications:

• Current Louisiana license required.

• Hospital, nursing home or long-term acute care experience preferred.

• Excellent communication skills

• Problem-solving skills and ability to deal with a variety of situations.

Job duties:

• Provide primary medical care for complex diseases processes.

• Perform physical exams, diagnose and treat acute illnesses.

• Interpret laboratory and test results.

• Prescribe and manage medications and other therapies all with an emphasis on managing acute illnesses and helping patients return home.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Good communication skills.

• Medical Necessity decision making skills.
