How you make a difference
As a Nurse Practitioner, Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), you will be responsible for providing a full range of medical services to patients under the supervision of the Site Medical Director and other site physicians. This includes working in accordance with established policy and procedure, as well as state guidelines, and providing required documentation of services to the Site Medical Director. You will also be responsible for notifying the Medical Director and site director of any changes in schedule coverage and assisting in arrangements for coverage of medical services if unavailable for an extended period of time.
Key Responsibilities
Conducts medical assessments, diagnoses opioid dependence, and reviews treatment plans.
Maintains professional standards and adheres to state and federal regulations.
Provides support and training to other medical staff and attends case conferences and staff meetings/training.
Documents progress notes in SOAP format, adheres to the formulary for therapeutic regimens, and responds to emergencies within standard guidelines.
Ensures patient confidentiality, makes appropriate referrals for coexisting medical and psychiatric disorders, and provides input into facility mandatory committees.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or an accredited education program for Physician Assistant
Advanced degree in an approved and accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
Experience
Licenses/Certifications
Must have and maintain current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant within the state of employment
Must have and maintain current CPR certification
Must have or be willing to obtain DATA 2000 Waiver prior to employment.
