Position Information
The Lane Community College Health Clinic has a position available for a Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner with strong skills in treating mental health condition.
As a member of our team, you will be providing and evaluating health care to our students. Your duties will include clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of health problems and demographic groups. You will also facilitate students in adopting positive health behaviors through individual and group health education.

Starting Salary Range Breakdown:
Academic Year (fall, winter, and spring) salary working 5 days per week: $60,089 - $83,949
Summer Term salary working 3 days per week: $12,761 - $17,828 subject to Article 26.3.5 in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Faculty positions are paid based on relevant experience and education in concurrence with Lane's Contracted, Full-time Faculty Salary Schedule.
The Faculty benefits package includes a generous contribution toward medical, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, long term disability and paid sick leave.
Lane Community College is considered a qualifying public employer for the purposes of the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. Through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program, full-time employees working at the College may qualify for forgiveness of the remaining balance on Direct Loans after 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan. Grant Statement: Working Schedule:
This Health Clinic Faculty position will work 5 days per week during the academic year (fall, winter, and spring) and 3 days per week during the summer. The Health Clinic is closed during college breaks and Health Clinic Faculty work minimally during this time. No on-call hours.

Required QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education:
Master of Science in Nursing
Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner in a specialty that treats a wide range of adult conditions.
Required Experience:
Three (3) years of experience in a clinical nursing position.
One (1) year of this experience must be at the level of Nurse Practitioner.

Licensure or Certification Requirements

Position Purpose:
Contracted faculty members are professional educators with the primary responsibilities of providing instruction and academic student support services respectfully, equitably, and inclusively to a diverse, multicultural, and multilingual student population, and professional activities contributing to the college, in alignment with Lane's Vision, Mission, and Values.
Essential Functions:
Work as a member of the LCC Health Clinic team to assess the need for services and to develop, provide, and evaluate health services to the Lane community.
Provides clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of health problems according to professional guidelines, laws, and College policies and procedures.
Provide CLIA-waived lab tests, basic microscopy (UA, wet prep).
Provide emergency care within the clinic including stabilization until EMS arrives.
Remain professionally current. Maintain appropriate and legal medical records and documentation including using the electronic medical record.
Assist with developing clinic policy and procedures in cooperation with other clinic staff and the Clinic Director.
Develop and maintain a referral network, both on campus and within the community, and coordinate with other clinic staff.
Facilitate students' adoption of positive health behaviors through individual or group health education. Select and prepare health education materials.
Empower students to actively participate in their health care, educate them about the health care system, and allow them to become stewards of their health.
Actively participate in long-term planning for the delivery of health services on campus.
Actively participate in policy and staff development.
Support and help direct the instruction of students working in the LCC Health Clinic from clinical, work-study or other programs.
Act as a resource to the campus community concerning health issues.
Assist with training new team members.
Assure that the clinic area is properly stocked with medical and health education supplies and is maintained in a medically safe manner.
Exhibit compliance with College policies and procedures, accountability for leave time, timesheet completion and release time.
Must demonstrate an active concern for students, staff, and the public.
Manage sensitive information with appropriate awareness of FERPA/HIPPA standards; maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to the privacy needs of students.

Supervision Statement:
This position reports to the Director of the Health Clinic and perform instructional and professional duties and responsibilities in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies, and procedures of the college.
Physical Demands/Working Environment:
Work involves varied activities which include standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and sitting. The job calls for a full range of motion as needed for handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and occasionally moving patients. Corrected vision and hearing to normal range are both required. Work may be performed under stressful conditions or during irregular hours. Must be able to stand for up to six (6) hours or more a day. May have exposure to body fluids; exposure to contagious health conditions; be able to transport up to fifty (50) pounds. Work safely.
