The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for:
Examining and treating patients independently and in autonomous collaboration with other health care professionals following established standards and practices
Ensuring proper illness and injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery
Relying on education, experience, professional training and judgment to accomplish responsibilities; a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
Working under minimal supervision under the direction of the collaborating physician, as appropriate
May lead and/or direct the work of others within scope of practice
Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
The Nurse Practitioner must:
Have a Master's degree with Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification
Have a current license or valid permit to practice in the state where facility resides
Have current BLS and ACLS certifications
Have a minimum 3 years of acute experience
Have PM&R experience
