The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for:

  • Examining and treating patients independently and in autonomous collaboration with other health care professionals following established standards and practices

  • Ensuring proper illness and injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery

  • Relying on education, experience, professional training and judgment to accomplish responsibilities; a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected

  • Working under minimal supervision under the direction of the collaborating physician, as appropriate

  • May lead and/or direct the work of others within scope of practice

  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed


The Nurse Practitioner must:

  • Have a Master's degree with Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification

  • Have a current license or valid permit to practice in the state where facility resides

  • Have current BLS and ACLS certifications

  • Have a minimum 3 years of acute experience

  • Have PM&R experience

Department Details This LPN opportunity is within our Children's Clinic which is a fast paced environment. Our LPN's focus on supporting our patients with well child care, medication rechecks, behavioral health management, same day/ill appointments, medication and vaccine administration. Schedule includes Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. One on call weekend approximately every 6 months. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse. If position requires IV therapy/management skills, the following is required in North Dakota: graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing. Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
