Advanced Practice Nurse in Radiation Oncology. Responsibilities of the APN will focus on the treatment and care of oncology patients. Responsibilities# # Primary responsibility is to care for radiation oncology patients during treatment and into follow-up.# This includes evaluation of cancer status and assessment and management of acute and late side effects of cancer therapy. Additional responsibilities include assisting in coordination of care for patients under treatment and management of acute therapy side effects.# # Works collaboratively as a team member of the clinic to provide high quality and efficient service to patients. Participates in performance improvement activities.# # Triages patient telephone calls and provides recommendations.# # Demonstrates active participation and interaction with multidisciplinary oncology team activities such as teleconference calls, case conferences (Tumor Boards), team meetings. Prepares for, participates in, and attends required conferences, meetings, and committees as requested.# # Assists with patient education materials and participates in developing patient teaching plans.# Other duties as requested# Requirements/Qualifications to include:# BLS/CPR, as a healthcare provider as per the American Heart Association (For providers in the ambulatory setting) required Certified Nurse Practitioner PA CRNP licensure (CRNP) (Required) PA#Prescriptive Authority (Required) Clinical expertise in Oncology preferred# # Excellent communication and interpersonal skills# # Excellent organizational skills Mandated Reporter Training required# #
