We are looking for a sharp, enthusiastic, professional to become part of the energy and join our team in Cardiothoracic Surgery where you will engage in our efforts to improve patient satisfaction, clinical outcomes, and operational efficiency
The individual in this role will be involved in the healthcare of Cardiothoracic Surgery patients under the direct or indirect supervision of the Supervising Physician.
Daily responsibilities include: Obtain histories and performs physical assessments.
Make daily rounds of patients. Assess response to medications, treatments, and interventions. Evaluate status and complaints of patients.
Consult with and transmit information to the Supervising Physician regarding the health status of the patient. Dictate or write progress notes on patients seen as well as dictates discharge summaries. Provide information and education to patient and family regarding diagnostic studies, treatments, medications, and diet.
Order laboratory tests at request of the Supervising Physician.
Order diagnostic tests at request of the Supervising Physician.
Order referrals to consulting physicians at the request of the Supervising Physician. Administer and/or order medications upon request of the Supervising Physician. Write admission orders for patients being admitted upon the request of the Supervising Physician.
