The Nurse Manager - Dialysis, Staffing Office and Lift Team is responsible for all aspects of 24/7 operations in these three areas. This includes:
The MVH Dialysis department provides 24/7 hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis services to patients of the MVH campuses. The NM will supervise the team of dialysis RNs and Team Leaders to ensure safe, effective care is provided to patients needing these services. This includes planning for, organizing and leading the delivery of nursing care for the department.
The MVH Lift Team is comprised of specially trained employees that provide 24/7 lifting and turning support to the patients and staff at MVH. The NM is responsible to ensure there is appropriate staffing and training for this team.
The MVH Staffing Office is a centralized office, which contains staffing history, current unit schedules, nursing personnel information, and patient acuity information. Clerical personnel (staffing coordinators) are responsible for ensuring appropriate staffing allocation necessary to deliver patient care on nursing units in collaboration with Nursing Leadership.
The manager is responsible for articulation of current staffing situation as well as recommendations for staffing solutions. This includes being the Facility System Administrator for the API scheduling software. In addition to these facility-based expectations, the manager is responsible to coordinate daily allocation of Fidelity Safety Companions.
Education: BSN required; Master's preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid Ohio RN License required. AHA BLS Certification required upon hire.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of acute care hospital RN experience is required. Minimum 2 years of Nursing Management/Supervisory experience is required.
