Position Scope: In collaboration with the Director, and other Assistant Directors within the Department/Unit, assures the delivery of effective and sufficient patient care services for a Medical-Surgical department on a 24/7 basis.# Assumes a leadership role within the unit to ensure that patient care services meet established standards in a manner consistent with Waterbury Hospital#s mission, goals and objectives.

Primary responsibilities include:

managing unit#s resources, including staffing, ensuring the delivery of safe, quality patient care and fiscal responsibility.# #Requirements: RN, CT license or license eligible.# BSN or BS degree in related field required.# At least five(5) years experience in acute care nursing.# Demonstrated leadership activities required.# Current managerial/supervisory experience preferred.# Excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to communicate among all levels of the organization essential.
