Nurse Manager

Woodburn - MACLAREN YOUTH CORRECTIONAL FACILITY HEALTH CLINIC

Join our team at the Oregon Youth Authority (OYA) as a Nurse Manager, overseeing the delivery of vital nursing services within our Youth Correctional Facilities. Reporting directly to the OYA Medical Director, you'll play a pivotal role in providing direction and guidance to our statewide institutional nursing program. From quality assurance and improvement to supervising nursing staff, your leadership will ensure the highest standards of healthcare for the 900 youth under our care.   • Open Until Filled: This recruitment will remain open until filled.   • Starting Salary Expectations: $100,464.00 yearly to $116,124.00 yearly; based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity (should you have significant years of experience performing this work, starting salary may be higher).

  • Position Salary Range: up to $158,400 Annual Salary.

  • This position receives annual increases on anniversary date until the maximum of the salary range is reached.

  • Upon PERS eligibility, employees will receive a 6.95% increase to their base salary and will pay the employee 6% contribution to PERS.

What You need to Qualify:

three years of nursing experience including some supervisory and/or teaching experience which shows knowledge of

a) nursing techniques and therapeutic intervention used in care and treatment of patients (specific to the employing facility);

b) supervisory techniques and work management of subordinate personnel; and

c) administrative and educational principles and practices involved in nursing administration.

Special Qualifications:

  • At the time of appointment, possess a valid Oregon Registered Professional Nurse's license.

  • Driving is an essential function of this position. A valid driver license and an acceptable driving record are required for this position. We will conduct pre-employment driving records checks on our final candidate(s).
