Under the direction of the Sr.
Nursing Director, is responsible for directing and coordinating the daily departmental Nursing practice activities of the peri-operative department. Collaborates with the Sr.
Nursing Director to manage and direct the execution of professional nursing practice on a day-to-day and shift-to-shift basis. Responsible and accountable for planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating the staff development and educational activities for assigned area(s). Assures the quality of patient care delivered on assigned unit(s) through the assessment, coaching, and development of the nursing staff.
Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse licensure.
CNOR and ACLS required. BSN required; MSN preferred. Minimum five years related clinical experience and at least one-year experience in the clinical preceptor and/or resource role.
Minimum three years' experience in teaching preferred. Demonstrated leadership experience required. Interpersonal skills essential to handle sensitive issues.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Or an equivalent combination of above.
