Nurse Manager of Mother/Baby (Nights) Washington-Arlington-Alexandria, Virginia Come join a progressive hospital as Nurse Manager of Mother/Baby in beautiful Virginia.

Reports to the Director of Women's Services and provides overall direction for employees, 24 hour accountability and assists with budgetary responsibility for the Women's Services Units.
Coordinates total nursing care for patients in the Mother/Baby Unit.
Promotes participation in patient/family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with members of the health care team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
Participates in organizational and unit based quality improvement activities.
Provides continued guidance and direction to all employees.
Provides input on standards of care, supplies and equipment to the Unit Director.
Responsible for staffing and scheduling the appropriate personnel to work in the unit.
In coordination with the Director and CNS, plans for staff education & annual competency validation.
Demonstrates the ability to facilitate unit operations and oversees floor operations in the absence of the Director.
Experience: 3-5 years Mother/Baby Nursing experience required 1-2 years Supervisory experience required Education: Associate's Degree of Nursing from an accredited school of nursing required Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing highly preferred Master's Degree in Nursing or a healthcare related field preferred Certifications/Licensure: Current State Registered Nurse (RN) licensure Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Desired Specialty Certifications, but not required:
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Inpatient Obstetric Nursing (RNC-OB), Maternal Newborn Nursing (RNC-MNN), Low Risk Neonatal Nursing (RNC-LRN), Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing (RNC-NIC), Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) Special

Must have strong written and oral communication skills Demonstrates ability to assess staff needs and develop objective goals Basic computer skills a must Maintains clinical and leadership competencies Great Opportunity!

VIEW JOBS 1/16/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-16T00:00 Clinical Nurse Manager – Full Time, Day Shift, Arlington, WA Schedule: Day Shift, No Weekends or Major Holidays* Healogics is hiring for a Clinical Nurse Manager to join our Wound Care Center team in Arlington, WA The Clinical Nurse Manager (Registered Nurse-RN) is responsible for the coordination of clinical activities of the Wound Care Center including but not limited to use of organizational skills, leadership, planning, implementing, evaluating, and providing patient care using hospital and nursing standards. Clinical Nurse Manager Responsibilities: Provides case management to a group of patients providing specific assessments according to protocols and procedures, clinical competence in procedural skills, treatments, and patient/caregiver education related to wound care management. Provides HBO patient assessment and chamber operation as required. Organizes and prioritizes clinical responsibilities, provides direct supervision to clinical staff, (RN, LPN, MA, Med Assist, etc). Collaborates with other health care providers, Wound Care Center Physicians, Program Director, and Medical Director regarding clinic and patient needs. Consistently looks at current processes and procedures and identifies and implements areas of improvement while adhering to HIPAA, JCAHO, DOH as well as hospital and DCS requirements. Collaborates with Program Director and Medical Director to develop, implement and manage a continuous Performance Improvement Program (PIP). Engages in staff development, providing general in services as well as individual instruction and orientation. Provides staff recognition through positive reinforcement and constructive feedback. Collaborates with Program Director in coordination of program objectives, from a budgetary and financial perspective. Collaborates with Program Director and Medical Director to achieve Wound Care Center quality indicators Participate in unit Quality Assurance and improvement and hospital committees as designated. Clinical Nurse Manager Requirements: Licensed Registered Nurse, BSN preferred Must maintain and demonstrates competency in BLS, infections control safety, and all unit required skill review, ACLS preferred.
