About Us Milford Regional Medical Center has one of the busiest emergency departments (ED) in central Massachusetts seeing approximately 60+ thousand patients annually. Our ED has 50 beds with a design that provides a safer environment for patients, includes family space to allow them to stay with their loved one and an improved working environment for staff.# Enhanced patient comfort in a welcoming environment, better efficiency with its own diagnostic radiology room, other state-of-the-art technologies, and specialized treatment areas for specific patient populations all support the delivery of high-quality care.

Statement of Purpose: # The Nurse Manager maintains responsibility for the provision of professional nursing care demonstrated through the nursing process involving assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation and evaluation. #The manager must demonstrate a competent level of behavior in a professional role-including activities related to promotion of quality of care, performance appraisal, education, collegiality, ethics, collaboration, research and resource utilization (Nursing:

Scope and Standards of Practice, 2nd Edition, 2010). The nurse manager is responsible for providing clinical leadership to nursing department staff on the individual patient care units/departments. This individual is the operations manager and assumes 24-hour accountability for care provided in their assigned units or department.

Qualifications: Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and BSN required. Master#s Degree in Nursing or related field preferred Certification/License:# Current RN license in Massachusetts,#BLS # ACLS Experience: # 5 years progressive clinical experience.# 3 years of direct management experience including dealing with complex issues# Superior communication skills; skilled listener and encourages direct, open, and honest conversation keeping all staff apprised of appropriate information; Excellent coaching, conflict resolution and mentoring skills Excellent coaching, conflict resolution and mentoring skills Effectively manages team performance, including setting and holding employees accountable to established performance expectations. Ability to deliver effective feedback in a positive and constructive manner Utilize problem-solving skills, creativity, and critical thinking.# Be able to develop their new employees based on their strengths. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, utilizing problem-solving skills, creativity, and critical thinking.# Ability to work effectively in a team environment, and drive employee engagement and teamwork Proven ability to take initiative and build strong and productive personal relationships Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and drive performance and process improvement initiatives Strong Presentation skills and ability to present at all levels of the organization Ability to formulate and execute strategic plans for the organization. #Demonstrated ability to make timely, informed data-driven decisions based on associated facts, objectives and risks.# Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and use budgets and projections to execute financially related activities. #
