Position Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Nurse Manager to lead the operational management of our Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background in pediatric hematology/oncology and a proven track record of managing high-volume healthcare settings. This role is responsible for overseeing daily clinical operations, patient flow, compliance, quality improvement, and staff management to maintain our Center of Excellence designation.

Collaborate with physicians and administrative leadership to optimize patient flow, scheduling, and departmental productivity. Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory standards. Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
Manage departmental budgets, staffing, and resource allocation. Recruit, mentor, and manage nursing staff, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. Coordinate performance improvement (PI) and quality assurance (QA) measures to ensure continuous improvement.
Serve as a liaison between the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic and hospital administration to align departmental goals with broader organizational objectives. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited academic nursing program required. Master’s degree preferred.
Three to Four years’ experience required RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure in the District of Columbia required. CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required. Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit.
Pediatric Nursing Certification (CPN) or Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN) is desirable.
