The Nurse Manager is responsible for creating and sustaining a healthy work environment for staff which fosters excellent professional nursing practice, shared decision-making, interdisciplinary teamwork and collaboration resulting in positive patient and staff outcomes.

The Nurse Manager supervises all nursing and unit-based personnel in the department in order to provide a safe, caring environment for patient/family and staff. The Nurse Manager plans, develops, implements, evaluates and monitors policies/procedures, budgets, the allocation of resources, continuous quality improvement initiatives, educational programs and shared governance/shared leadership councils to achieve departmental and organizational goals and objectives.

Ideal candidates for the Nurse Manager role have the ability to assess operations with a critical, keen, approach, and are proactive with minimal guidance to problem resolution.

Responsibilities: * Provide unit/clerical duties for Emergency Department * Chart, make copies, stock equip, may assist with the tranporting of patients * Aids with entry and exit of patients. * Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living. * Reports findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Documents necessary records. * Responsible for keeping patient rooms clean and orderly as well as maintaining medical equipment. What You Will Need Licenses/Certifications/Registration: * Required Credential(s): * BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Education: * Diploma * High school diploma or GED required Work Experience: * 1-2 years of CMA expierence preferred.
