Cooley Dickinson Hospital is seeking a Nurse Manager for our Emergency Department.
The Nurse Manager, Emergency Department is responsible for coordinating the clinical operations on the Emergency Department and participating in the overall management of the Emergency Department Service. The ED Nurse Manager holds 24-hour, 7-day a week responsibility and accountability for the clinical management of the nursing unit.
This position reports to Nursing Director, Emergency Department and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Graduate of an approved accredited nursing school required
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school or equivalent experience required; Master's degree preferred
Current Massachusetts licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) required
Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years current clinical experience required
Current American Heart Association BLS certification required
ACLS required within 3 months of hire
PALS and or ENPC certification required within 3 months of hire
Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training required within six (6) months of hire
Demonstrated leadership skills and excellent clinical competence, including proficiency in the nursing and improvement processes required
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, team-building, collaboration, negotiation, problem-solving, as well as oral and written communication skills required
