Nurse Manager - Cardiovascular Services

Provides leadership and directs functions of assigned patient care area on a 24 hour basis; ensure effective delivery of clinical patient care and compliance with administrative and clinical policies and procedures.

  • Provides leadership and demonstrates responsibility and accountability for the delivery of safe, quality, patient care for assigned departments on a 24 hour basis. Ensures department's standard of nursing practice, nursing policies and procedures meet legal, and all accrediting and regulatory agency requirements."

  • Directs the continuity of care through demonstrated use of interdisciplinary team approach to patient care. Collaborates and shares pertinent patient information with physicians, patients, and other members of the healthcare team regarding patient progress, and treatment.

  • Develops and implements ongoing programs to measure, monitor, assesses and to improve quality of nursing care delivered to patients. Works toward hospital-wide improvement in meeting core measure, patient safety, and service excellence goals in assigned units.

  • Ensures the effective coordination of the patient's care with other services and departments throughout the hospital.

  • Ensures provision of quality care and services by maintaining appropriate equipment and supplies.

  • Participates in rounding and proactively responds to patient needs to improve patient outcomes and positively impact overall patient experience.

  • Fosters a culture of patient centered care by ensuring a quiet healing environment.

Education:

Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.

Experience:

Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.

Licensure:

Current Florida State Registered Nurse license

Facility Profile: AdventHealth Kissimmee is a 163 bed community-focused hospital, conveniently located near Walt Disney World. The team here is dedicated to bringing mission-focused, faith-based care to residents and visitors of Osceola and Orange Counties. At the heart of our latest expansion is a new, three-story tower featuring 80 expansive, private patient rooms and a host of modern amenities and technologies. Plus, each patient room includes ample space for visiting loved ones to relax, work and sleep. Department Profile: This facility houses a 36 plus bed Progressive Care Unit. The PCU team responds to the Rapid Response Team calls in a fast and efficient manner. Progressive Care serves all medical conditions and surgeries within a well-equipped and spacious unit featuring computerized documentation technology. Floating may be required between the ICU and PCU like units based on census. Work Hours/Shifts: 3/12's every other weekend; 7a-7p * $10,000 Sign-on Bonus available for eligible candidates (see terms below) Job Summary: The ANM is a registered professional nurse who supports the Nurse Manager or Director in overall operations of their assigned unit. Is able to demonstrate critical thinking skills, creativity, and has the knowledge to manage resources to achieve quality performance, positive employee relations, and compliance with hospital guidelines. The ANM is skilled in coaching, mentoring, and leading a professional and technical team in the delivery of services to our patient population. The ANM assures quality of care is delivered to our patients and demonstrates effective stewardship of scarce resources. Is supportive of change activities on their unit and works to assure implementation of change that may occur. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
