Job Summary: Teaches/supervises nursing students in classroom and clinical settings.
Contributes to the professional development of nursing students. Demonstrates integrity, stability, imagination and discriminative judgment in instruction of nursing students. Contributes to the research and development of the educational program.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an ACEN/NLNAC or CCNE accredited program.
MSN from an ACEN/NLNAC or CCNE accredited program.
Three to Five years recent clinical experience in area of specialization/responsibility. Uses clinical knowledge and experiences to instruct students in the classroom and clinical setting. Interacts professionally in all situations - with students, public, and colleagues.
Advises students. Develops evaluation methodologies to measure student outcomes. Analyzes end-of-program student learning outcomes and program outcomes to contribute to program effectiveness.
Preferred Qualifications: Certification as Nurse Educator Academic teaching experience preferred. Teaching experience in the classroom and clinical setting desired.
Working knowledge of FERPA Licensure and Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) #
