This is a HHC Central Region Behavioral Health Department position supporting both The Hospital of Central CT and MidState Medical Center.

Reporting to the Director of Clinical Professional Development the Nurse Educator will practice as part of a dynamic clinical professional development team and clinical education delivery structure that supports organizational and unit-based interprofessional clinical education. Facilitates the education and orientation to new practices, equipment and technologies that improve patient care and quality outcomes.
Actively pursues new developments in clinical practice and educational methods that supports competency, life-long learning and professional development for clinical staff. Implements the use of evidence-based findings in clinical practice and decision-making.
Current CT RN license,
BSN required; Master's degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
Three to five years of Behavioral Health nursing experience.
Three to Five years of medical-surgical nursing experience.
Certification any required or preferred.
Certification in Nursing Professional Development upon eligibility
Flexibility to cover off shifts and weekends based on department needs
