Nurse Educator

Actalent is hiring for a Surgical Nurse Educator in Lanham, Maryland

Job Description:

• Provides professional support to internal and external customers that meet the needs of their diverse age and cultural backgrounds.

• Acts as a resource for staff members.

• Demonstrates ability to assess the need for, plan, implement and evaluate high-quality, cost-effective educational programs for staff.

• Maintain educational records.

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates orientation programs for new staff.

• Assists in development of competencies for clinical staff. Collaborates with other departments/nursing areas to ensure consistency and to avoid duplication.

• Promotes the advancement of nurses by offering a variety of learning opportunities planned for nurses in different stages of the Novice to Expert continuum.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Master's Degree in Nursing, Nursing Professional Development Preferred)

• Minimum of three years as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting

• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS.

Day Shift Monday through Friday NO WEEKENDS OR HOLIDAYS

Pay rate based on experience!
