Job Title: Nurse Education Manager

Roles & Responsibilities:

    1. Plans, supervises, implements, and evaluates nursing educational systems, programs, projects, and policies that promote and support the accomplishment of educational goals

2.Prepares budgets, controls expenditures in accordance with budget allocations, and/or recommends capital allocations

3.Reviews, modifies, and evaluates educational recordkeeping and reporting systems as necessary

4.Conducts and/or participates in research activities related to nursing and other associated areas

5.Determines the educational needs of the employees necessary to accomplish the objectives of Patient Care Services through collaboration with line and staff personnel

6.Develops and implements learning packages, presentations, and other educational materials to meet the needs of the staff on a 24 hour basis

7.Communicates the plan for the educational programs/materials in such a way as to encourage and foster participation, involvement, and cooperation

8.Selects and develops appropriate instructional strategies for educational activities

9.Evaluates the effectiveness of educational programs with future recommendations

  1. Coordinates activities for development and updating of orientation plans and other educational materials for assigned areas

  2. Utilizes the Performance Based Development System (PBDS) for assessment and evaluation of learning needs


  • Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing.

  • Masters degree in Nursing/Allied Health with experience in Nursing Education and/or Nursing Leadership.

  • Professional Board certification in clinical specialty or staff development recommended.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1.Prepares and examines all patients for ultrasound examinations in accordance with established departmental procedures and techniques. 2. Operates and adjusts ultrasound equipment, takes safety precautions necessary to protect patients and personnel from electric shock or other hazards. 3. Sets up, operates, cleans and makes minor adjustments to ultrasound equipment. 4. Ensures adequate supplies are available for use. 5. Assists in the orientation and mentor new Ultrasound personnel. 6. Captures images onto PACS and transfers to physicians' work stations. 7. Answers telephones, schedules examinations and may initiate transportation. 8. Performs other duties as required.
