Job Description:
New Milford (Connecticut) Public Schools is seeking full time Nurses for anticipated openings beginning in the 2024-25 school year. 3 District wide positions.
Essential Functions: The essential functions are illustrative and not a complete itemization of all duties and responsibilities of the position.
Assist in the organization and implementation of the school health program
Promote, protect and maintain and improve pupil health
Promote coordination of school health program
Assist in evaluation of school health program
Recognize personal professional responsibilities.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to administer emergency care throughout the facilities and/or grounds of the facilities. Experience using a computerized documentation system and ability to train other nurses on the system.
Candidate must be proven to be responsible and reliable, possess strong communication skills, and have a valid CT driver's license and insurance.
Valid RN license from the State Department of Health Services to practice professional nursing
Current Certification Healthcare Basic Life Support and Current Professional Rescuer CPR/AED certificate.
