Job Description:

Date Available: Commencing with the 2024-2025 school year. Official start date will be August 27, 2025, with some additional summer hours prior to start date.

Schedule: Contract salary is based on 181 days per school year with additional hours in the summer. A work schedule will be agreed upon with school administration but will primarily be based on the needs of the school and will be eight hours paid per day with a half hour unpaid for lunch..

Salary/Benefits: School nurses are part of the non-certified staff collective bargaining unit. Salary in accordance with bargaining unit contract - around $41.16/hour to $45.69/hour depending on level of experience. Comprehensive benefits.

Ideal Candidate Possesses:

• BSN degree

• Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in the state of CT

• Prior school nursing experience preferred

• Ability to maintain a high level of discretion and maintain confidentiality of student and employee records and information at all times

• Ability to maintain clear, concise health records for students and staff

• Ability to deliver direct clinical services to students and staff in a calm reassuring manner

• Ability to understand the needs of adolescents

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Ability to demonstrate initiative and use sound judgment
