About this Position
Texas Mutual takes care of injured workers by providing top-notch medical care when an accident occurs. As a Nurse Case Manager, you will be part of the team that develops intervention strategies on stalled or at-risk claims and provides health information and consulting to customers across the division to guide claim outcomes.
In this role, you will enjoy a hybrid-flex work schedule and report to any one of our four office locations in either Austin, Dallas, Houston, or Lubbock. Relocation assistance is available.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
As a Nurse Case Manager, You Will:
Conduct evaluations of current processes on at-risk claims and develop intervention strategies, by:
Evaluate an injured worker's functional abilities as compared to their job requirements to project return to work dates based on regulatory Medical Disability Guidelines;
Evaluate treatment plans and identify medical stalls and prognoses to develop action plans that ensure cost-effective treatment for compensable injuries based on industry Official Disability Guidelines; and
Communicate with injured workers on treatment plans and the importance of medical compliance as related to their injuries.
Work with Adjusters, Employers, Injured Workers, Providers, and Vendors in accomplishing agreed plans of action, by:
Assist employers in identifying job modifications that accommodate injured workers' functional capabilities and restrictions;
Communicate standard of practice guidelines and serve as an expert to all partners;
Use technology tools such as the web, telephone, and our internal communications platform to empower a virtual presence.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing or equivalent education, training, or experience; nursing licenses must be current in the State of Texas.
At least two years of clinical practice in the area of orthopedics, rehabilitation, emergency department, or neurosurgical care or equivalent education, training, or experience.
CCM required or equivalent certification.
