We are seeking a part-time Field Nurse Case Manager to cover the El Paso, TX area. This individual is responsible for the medical case management of work related injuries, which includes assessment, planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of injured/disabled individuals. The Case Manager works with insurance carriers, medical care providers, attorneys, employers and employees, and closely monitors the progress of the injured worker and reports results back to the employer and insurance carrier.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in TX

  • Bilingual/Spanish Required

  • 20-30 hours per week

  • Excellent organization and timeline adherence skills

  • Excellent PC and technology skills

  • Excellent communication skills- written, verbal and interpersonal

  • Valid Driver's License, and good driving history

Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of (9:00am - 6:00pm MST). It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Training hours will be 6:30 am to 2:30 pm EST for three weeks and then 8:00 am to 5:00 pm MST, Monday - Friday. Primary Responsibilities: * Respond to and resolve on the first call, customer service inquires and issues by identifying the topic and type of assistance the caller needs such as benefits, eligibility and claims, financial spending accounts and correspondence * Educate customers about the fundamentals and benefits of consumer-driven health care, guiding them on topics such as selecting the best benefit plan options, maximizing the value of their health plan benefits and choosing a quality care provider * Contact care providers (doctor's offices) on behalf of the customer to assist with appointment scheduling or connections with internal specialists for assistance * Assist customers in navigating myuhc.com and other UnitedHealth Group websites while encouraging and guiding them towards becoming self-sufficient in using these tools This role is equally challenging and rewarding. You'll be spending long periods of time on the phone and called on to research complex issues pertaining to the caller's health, status and potential plan options. To do this, you'll need to navigate across multiple databases which require fluency in computer navigation and toggling while confidently and compassionately engaging with the caller. Required Qualifications: * High School Diploma / GED (or higher) OR equivalent work experience * Minimum of 2+ years of combined education, work and/or volunteer experience. * Bilingual (read/write/speak fluently) in Spanish * If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas.
