SUMMARY#OF RESPONSIBILITY - Job Summary (general statement of purpose or objective of position) The Nurse Call System Administrator will facilitate the use of Nurse Call Reporting Systems, Hand Hygiene Monitoring Systems and Real Time Locating Systems by Baptist Health to improve clinical service for patients. This position will ensure the correct setup for reporting, monitoring and locating systems, maintain reporting databases, educate staff and monitor reports for accuracy.

Skills:


At least three (3) years of related experience.

Ability to learn Nurse Call (NC)reporting software, Hand Hygiene reporting software and Real Time Locating System software.

Ability to analyze NC quotes and work in conjunction with the NC Electronics Technician to ensure proper installation. Must have excellent computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel # PowerPoint). Experience in healthcare with direct contact to clinical staff required.

This position requires excellent communication and writing skills. Associates Degree required, Bachelor#s degree preferred.

The Patient Representative will identify and refer the patient and/or responsible party to an appropriate sponsoring agency. The Patient Representative will be responsible for processing high risk pre-certifications, develop and implement denial avoidance plans and produce reports on revenue cycle functions within the various departments to ensure appropriate financial error reports are worked and corrected.The Patient Representative is expected to demonstrate competency in the job elements of all the levels of the Access Coordinator positions. Responsibilities * Works in a call center environment. * Schedules, reschedules, and coordinates appointments using hospital software by performing visit notifications to patients, pre-registration of patients as needed, inputs and/or updates accurate patient information. * Processes walk-ins, creates new patient charts, access systems for orders, works patient portal and maintains tracker board for multiple departments. * Schedules surgeries and/or tests. Issues school/work excuses, sends out no show letters, takes patient photos for centricity. * Conducts insurance verification and benefit explanation by running eligibility on patients, performs ABN completion. * Conducts authorizations and pre-certifications, tracks pre-authorizations maintains referrals. * Enters benefit and authorization information input PCT. Obtains OON waiver and coordinates completion of OON wavers. * Maintains initial plan of care (signatures, etc.), and is responsible for inputting daily and monthly statistics and communicates any medical record issues. * Collects and post payments and issues receipts. * Responsible for reconciliation/management change fund. Responsible for reconciliation of daily deposit & batch POS dollars, and must complete deposit agreement. * Counsels patients on any and all related financial information i.e. hospital discounts and reviewing Medicaid screening. Monitors patient balances using the matrix payment method. * Completes UB value codes, inputs daily charges and reconcile charges. (Charge Entry may not be applicable in all areas, some areas utilize e-billing). * May perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare or related plus three (3) years of experience in patient registration, scheduling, or billing in a healthcare environment OR High School Diploma/GED plus seven (7) years of experience in business office administration including three (3) years of experience in patient registration, scheduling, or billing in a healthcare environment * Basic computer and keyboarding skills * Excellent telephone etiquette skills * General knowledge of office machines including printers and scanners * Knowledge in basic medical terminology and registration experience required Preferred Qualifications: * CHAA certification * Call Center experience * Knowledge of Authorization and CPT codes This position is subject to a pre-employment criminal background check.
