Nurse Assistant

3W is a 25 bed unit that provides care for Medical Surgical/Transplant patients. If you love a challenge and would like a rewarding career in patient care, we would love to have you as part of our team. Some of the tasks expected of the nursing assistant include:

• Helping Patients with Daily Activities:

• Assisting patients in using the bathroom.

• Cleaning and bathing patients.

• Maintaining patients' hygiene and changing bedding.

• Turning, repositioning, and assisting patients as needed.

• Meal Assistance:

• Setting up meal trays for those that need help, and/or assisting with feeding those patients that can't feed themselves.

• Vital Signs Monitoring:

• Measuring vital signs such as blood pressure and temperature and reporting to the nurse any abnormal vital signs.

• Obtaining One Touches after being trained to do so.

• Communication and Reporting:

• Listening to patients regarding any health concerns they might have and reporting details to a nurse.

• Assisting the nursing staff or team when needed.

You will be paired with an experienced nursing assistant for your orientation.
