Nurse Assistant

We are seeking a friendly, experienced Nurse Assistant to assist our staff in Pre-Op, OR and PACU with the safe, effective and efficient care of patients.

HOURS: 6:30am- 3:30pm Monday- Friday, 2 weekends (days) per month, and rotating holidays.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Assists with room turnover between cases.
• Keeps operating rooms properly stocked.
• Removes linen, trash and sharps from OR and transports to appropriate storage areas.
• Stocks scrub sink area and restocks blanket warmer
• Assists with patient transport, transfer and lifting using proper body mechanics.
• Demonstrates understanding of age-specific needs/behaviors.
• Identifies opportunities to improve patient safety and participates in projects and programs designed to reduce error and improve safety.
• Demonstrates correct knowledge of all OR equipment and supplies.
• Practices and knows aseptic technique.
• Retrieves and stocks clean and sterile supplies within the facility.
• Retrieves and stores equipment as needed.
• Assists staff in Pre-Op/PACU as needed and directed.
• Assists staff in OR as needed and directed.

Education:

• High School diploma or GED required
• At least One (1) year related job experience
• Current BLS required
