General Summary
The Nurse Aide/Medication Aide (NA/MA) Trainer is responsible for delivering approved curriculum to students enrolled in the Nurse Aide and Medication Aide courses offered on the Columbus, Hastings, and Grand Island campus, as well as possible off-site locations (permanent centers, high schools, long-term care facilities). This individual also serves as the Lead Trainer for each program, which includes serving as Nurse Aide Program Coordinator, as defined by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Service (NDHHS). Individual will perform duties and responsibilities in accordance with college policies and procedures.

Teaches 76-hour Nursing Assistant and 40-hour Medication Aide courses,
using NDHHS approved curriculum.

Ensures course meets all federal and state regulations pertaining to
the training of nursing assistants and medication aides.

Identifies, reviews, and recommends revisions to course curriculum and
delivery. Monitors local, industry practices and OSHA regulations that
may impact NA/MA courses and/or students.

Works in partnership with CWE personnel to compile data, prepare reports and track the progress of identified students.

Coordinates with CWE supervisor on various program administration,
course, student, and/or personnel issues. Recommends purchase of
necessary equipment, and purchases supplies for classroom.

Trains, provides feedback and facilitates on-going communication with
other NA/MA trainers.

Accurately maintains institutional/instruction records to include
student performance, grades and attendance in format required by state
regulations and CCC policies.
