Job Summary
Owensboro Community and Technical College invites applications to apply for part-
time/temporary faculty as a Nurse Aide Instructor reporting to the Director of Nursing. The Nurse Aide Adjunct Instructor will teach nurse aide classes, including didactic, lab, and clinical instruction.
Job Duties:
Provide didactic and clinical instruction for nurse aide students.
Follow federal and state regulations and guidelines of the Medicaid Nurse Aide program.
Keep accurate and up-to-date records for the nurse aide program.
Securely maintains tests and records.
Identify supplies needed to conduct class and lab.
Schedule required clinical days with contracted long-term care facilities and attend clinical days with nurse aide students.
Complete and maintain the required files and other pertinent records in order to maintain clinical facility compliance.
Determine clinical placement of students.
Occasional work in the evenings and Saturdays.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate Degree in Nursing required.
Two (2) years' work experience as a Registered Nurse (active, unencumbered license in KY or a compact state with multi-state privileges) with a minimum of one year in a long-term care setting is required.
Successful completion of the Methods of Instruction (MOI) course required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree preferred.
Experience working at the community college level preferred.
