Description
NSPC Surgery Center of Maryland is seeking an experienced ASC Nurse Administrator/Director of Nursing to support our team of highly trained, caring professionals for our surgery center located in Oxon Hill, MD.

IN THIS POSITION YOU WILL:
Support NSPC's mission, vision, and values.
Promote and support a collaborative team atmosphere.
Lead and model behaviors effectively, setting a positive example for staff.
Develop staffing patterns for the department, ensuring adequate staffing of personnel for safe quality patient care.
Comply with federal and state regulatory standards.
Prepare for AAAHC surveys.
Develop and/or implement unit-based and evidence-based policies and procedures that guide and support services.
Complete employee performance evaluations per policy.
Supervise the use, maintenance and availability of equipment, supplies, and services as established by policy.
Ensure staff compliance with corporate and division policies and procedures.
Foster the growth and development of others through effective orientation and continuing education of staff.
Keep abreast of current therapeutic modalities and evidence based best practices within the nursing profession and communicate effectively to ensure staff has the information, tools and resources needed to perform duties.
Interview and hire new employees as needed utilizing behavioral interviewing techniques.
Collaborate effectively with other disciplines.
Effectively manage resources to minimize waste and maximize financial performance.
Utilize patient satisfaction reports and employee and physician survey data to meet established targets.
Monitor facility's infection control program.

Requirements
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
Minimum two (2) year associate degree from an accredited school of nursing
A valid MD Registered Nurse license, Compact State or Multi-State license (if applicable).
Previous ASC management experience
Billing and insurance benefits/authorization experience highly preferred
Clinical background in perioperative nursing (OR, Pre-op, PACU) preferred.
Current BLS
Knowledge of EMR and/or Electronic Practice Management systems and technologies
The capacity to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment, while demonstrating resourcefulness and proactivity.
Excellent organizational/multi-tasking skills with acute attention to detail.
