This position is responsible for producing Nuclear Medicine exams. The responsibilities include; dose calibration of isotopes, administration, imaging and non-imaging procedures, radiation protection, quality control, and quality assurance.

Produces quality imaging and non-imaging Nuclear Medicine studies within an acceptable time period to ensure minimal patient discomfort or inconvenience. Completes daily floods, radioactive wipe test, and assays 100% of the times as required. Assists in maintaining accurate documentation on all radiopharmaceuticals received and dispensed.

Calculates dose and administer radiopharmaceuticals accurately 100% of the time and document properly. Performs pre-exam duties which include verifying patient identification, physician order, and medical necessity of procedure ordered, explain procedure to the patient, and prepare the patient for the exam. Demonstrates the ability and knowledge to perform all nuclear procedures, including computer processing. Assures awareness and implementation of good radiation protection to patients and staff.

Graduate of school of Radiological Technology with certification in Nuclear Medicine or B.S. degree program in Nuclear Medicine. One year under Radiology Technologist program and certification or B.S. degree in Nuclear Medicine.

ARRT X-ray registry and Nuclear Medicine registry or CNMT Registry with B.S. Degree. Background and training in Nuclear Medicine.

Participates, according to written and pre-determined schedules, on-call duties to provide Nuclear Medicine services to inpatients and emergency patients. Complete all competency and skills assessment forms on a timely basis. Performs other duties as assigned. Graduate of School of Radiological Technologist with certification in Nuclear Medicine or B.S. degree program in Nuclear Medicine. One year under Radiology Technologist program and certification or B.S. degree in Nuclear Medicine. ARRT X- ray registry and Nuclear Medicine registry or CNMT Registry with B.S. Degree and BLS required. Nuclear Medicine cameras, computers, RIS, and various lab equipment. Background and training in Nuclear Medicine.
